Grumman F8F-2P Bearcat – G-RUMM

Built in 1948 after a requirement for a fast responsive fighter in the Pacific theatre, the Bearcat came too late to see any action during the Second World War. G-RUMM was allocated to the US Navy until 1957, where she was owned by a few private owners before making her way into the hands of The Fighter Collection in 1981. She is now the longest serving aircraft for The Fighter Collection and is a regular at the Duxford Airshows throughout the year.
