Hispano HA-112 – Buchon – G-AWHK

Built in 1959 as a Spanish licensed built Messerschmitt BF109G, the Buchon is a at the heart a Rolls-Royce Merlin 500 engined BF109. With airframes sent to Spain during the war as patterns for them to create their own, a large number of crucial parts and engines never turned up due to the growing resources pressures Germany were coming under. Hispano got to work themselves and got these flying. Since then, she has been quite the movie star, featuring in 1968 film Battle of Britain, 2008 film Valkyrie starring Tom Cruise and the 2017 Christopher Nolan film Dunkirk.
